Red Light Therapy Is Working

Clothing with Lumiton_Fiber offers benefits that follow the broader red/NIR light science. Lumiton has completed clinical studies on 4 areas treated with red/NIR light devices - skin health, hair growth, athletic performance, and recovery. In each study Lumiton's red light was therapeutic.

psoriasis

The Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Center for Dermatology Research, conducted a 12-week peer-reviewed clinical study that measured the impact of Lumiton-based shirts and sleeves on Polymorphous Light Eruption (PMLE) and Psoriasis elbow. PMLE patients did not have a flare-up and reported slight to moderate improvement.  Psoriasis patients experienced improvements in elbow plaque redness, thickness, and scale.

Athletic Performance

Lumiton commissioned a blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial on soccer players to evaluate the effects of wearing Lumiton-based apparel on athletic performance, post-exercise recovery, muscle damage and oxidative stress. The study, which included 11 professional women soccer players in Brazil, determined wearing Lumiton one hour before and during a training session increases 2 key metrics of athletic performance - force and power.  Additionally, based on blood markers measured before and after the training session, the study determined wearing Lumiton may be prompting the biochemical stimulus necessary to generate long term beneficial musco-skeletal adaptations.

In summary, wearing Lumiton provides a performance advantage and likely offers a long-term physiological advantage.
