Light & Wellness
After hundreds of clinical studies all over the body, it is undeniable red and near-infrared light stimulates cellular function and improves many bodily functions. The red and near-infrared spectrum spans from approximately 0.6 microns to 1 micron. At Lumiton, we call this the "Wellness Window" (and it is precisely why Lumiton_Fiber is engineered to absorb a broad band of UV and visible light and generate a focused band of red/NIR).
A key physiological process activated by red and near-infrared light is stimulating cell mitochondria to increase energy production (i.e., ATP). Activating ATP, as well as other biological pathways, spurs a number of physiological benefits including: reduced fatigue, rejuvenated skin, reduced inflammation, reduced joint pain, enhanced muscle growth and recovery, increased antioxidant production, and activated fat metabolism.
